Jack White and the Worlds Fastest produced Record!

Live Recording of 'Lazaretto' pressed and ready for sale in under 4 hours!!

Mr. White announced his record-defying masterplan plan earlier this month, claiming "Lazaretto" would be "the world's fastest released record  in the history of mankind." He took to the stage at 10am this Saturday morning in the Blue Room at Third Man Records' in Nashville, USA, along with his band , where they recorded two tracks. The first was "Lazaretto," the title track from his forthcoming solo album, and the B-side was a cover of Elvis Presley's "Power of My Love."
The two songs were cut directly to acetate, and the masters were rushed from the Blue Room to United Record Pressings to create the vinyl records, with a sleeve featuring photos from the live the performance. The records were pressed and ready in 3 hours,55 minutes and 21 seconds.

By recording, pressing and releasing "Lazaretto" in less than four hours, Jack White broke the Guinness World Record set by Swiss polka trio Vollgas Kompanie, who issued their album Live on August 16th, 2008, the day after they recorded it. Good Going Jack!!
